五 | 可惜的是，中国球员没有通过夏联进入NBA的先例。2002年状元姚明、2007年第6号新人易建联没有时间也不会打夏联，因为他们的天赋和能力早已被球队认可。如果中国球员没有被NBA选秀大会选中，试图在夏联寻找机会，希望非常小。
六 | 山东男篮的丁彦雨航在2017年夏联发挥不俗，连续征战奥兰多和拉斯维加斯两个夏季联赛，但最终依然无法打动独行侠，未能进军NBA。其实并不是没有通过夏联进入NBA的先例，中国球员也可以借鉴他们的经验。华裔球员林书豪在2010年选秀大会落选，此后代表小牛出战夏联，场均贡献9.8分3.2篮板1.8助攻，赢得不少球队青睐，最终和勇士签下一份两年合同。总的来说，此次征战拉斯维加斯夏季联赛的中国球员最大的目的还是在同高水平球员的对抗中发现差距，学习先进篮球理念，掌握更好的训练方式，完成“镀金”。
